LIP BLUSH (HD or SHEER)
£350
  • 2-3hrs approx.
  • Skin Test Required

Lip Blush

Lip blushing (also known as Lip Tattoo or Permanent Lipstick) is achieved by depositing pigment (colour) into your lips using a machine with small needles to implant it into the dermis of the lips. This will enhance the area, define the shape and restore symmetry and volume. Adding soft layers of colour to the lip will naturally enhance your appearance and restore confidence. Lips are a crucial part to looking youthful and healthy without applying your lip makeup everyday. Multiple finishes are available depending on the results that you are looking to achieve. A wide range of colours can be used – Muted and Brights. Lipstick won’t stay on? Uneven lip shape? Struggling to achieve that perfectly defined lip line? Well here is the answer…

Sheer Lips

A gentle wash of colour is implanted into the tissue to provide a soft stained effect, as opposed to a defined lipstick effect. The shade of the lips can be increased, or simply brightened so as not to make them necessarily darker. Suits everyone with lighter lips wanting a natural result.

Lasts 1-3 years

HD Lips

Ideal for clients looking for more definition and perhaps a shape transformation. Results will last longer and will provide more of a dramatic effect. Full saturation of colour to achieve high definition. A longer lasting ‘lipstick’ effect with a more defined border.

Lasts 2-5+ years

DARK LIP NEUTRALISATION
£350
  • 2-3hrs approx.
  • Skin Test Required

Dark Lip Neutralisation

Lip Neutralisation is designed for clients of rich ethnicity who wish to brighten and lighten the shade of their lips. Multiple sessions may be required depending on the client’s skin type and needs.

Clients with darker pigmented lips typically Fitzpatrick 4-6 typically need neutralisation instead of lip blushing which is the process of using colour theory to lighten and brighten the dark lip tissue. This is the same process as lip blush achieved by depositing pigments in your lips using small needles but more than 2 sessions may be required with more healing time. More minimal colour options are available depending on the natural lip colour. Usually, bright vivid colours are needed to change the cool tones and shades to a neutral result. The goal is to lighten the darkness and create an even coverage.

Most Frequent Qs & As

How Long does the treatment take?

Depending on the size of your lip and the style thats been chosen. New treatments range from 2-3 hours from start to finish. Second sessions and top ups will take less time between 1- 1.5 hours.

Can I have fillers?

Yes. You must allow 4 weeks in between lip injections and permanent makeup due to healing. If the filler is migrated we will recommend to get the filler desolved before having permanent makeup. If you are thinking about having both lip filler and lip blush you would be best to have lip filler first and we can then lip blush your new shape.

Does it hurt?

A topical numbing cream is applied to your lips beforehand. Throughout the treatment Emma will ask if you are comfortable and adjust as needed. The treatment is a mild form of a tattoo so some sensation is to be expected.

How will I look immediately after?

Primarily the lips will look as if lipstick/gloss has been applied – depending on which colour was chosen will determine the darkness/brightness. Slight swelling of the lips may appear as the skin has been abraded but this will all settle over the next few days.

Full aftercare will be provided on completion of the treatment and verbally explained.

Can I have lip blush if I have a history of cold sores

If you have a history of cold sores or herpes, the procedure could trigger an outbreak. Prescribed anti-viral medication should be taken in advance of the appointment, and it should be noted that cold sores can affect the healed results of the lip blush.

What should I expect the healing process to be like

Full aftercare instructions will be provided; a hard copy along with a verbal explanation upon completion of the treatment. Here is a visual of what you can expect over the next few days post tattoo.

The Lips will go through a phase of being more intense in colour and a little swollen lasting a few days – this is completely normal! Within 5 days all the flaky bits of colour will have come away and the initial colour chosen will blossom over the next 6 weeks.

You want to avoid sun exposure, facials, chlorine, sauna/steam, heavy makeup after your lip tattoo for at least 10 days. Any injections/filler into the lip or laser around needs to be avoided for 4 weeks.

If you have a lipstick you wear day-to-day, bring it to your appointment! It’s great to see a visual of the colour you wear daily. We can review this colour, test on your skin to see if this colour suits your complexion/will work on your natural lip tissue.

There are lots of factors that can influence the healed result of a Lip tattoo. We cannot 100% guarantee the healed result to be a perfect match to the lipstick but we can get a close match and in the same family.
