What is a Carbon Laser Facial?

A carbon laser facial is a superficial treatment that helps with acne, enlarged pores, oily skin and uneven skin tone. It’s also an excellent way to exfoliate and refresh the skin, providing an instant refreshed appearance and leaving skin feeling softer, smoother and firmer. You’ll begin to see powerful results after only one session. A course of 3 to 6 sessions, spaced out four weeks apart, can give great results for improved collagen production, reduced oiliness and tighter, more radiant skin.

This facial freshens the complexion by removing the outer layers of dead skin cells. Gradually reduces skins pore size and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The great news with this treatment is there is no downtime. Often blackheads and whiteheads are reduced very successfully.

How the treatment works

Before the treatment begins, we will double cleanse the skin. A layer of liquid carbon is then applied to the skin, where it penetrates deep into the pores. As the carbon dries, it attaches itself to dirt, oil or dead skin cells on the surface of the skin. Once dried, the carbon is ready to meet our laser using a special tip, the wavelength of the laser will be absorbed by the carbon which is vaporised by the q-switched pulse along with dead skin cells. Slight heat is generated which penetrates the dermis leading to collagen production leading to further reduction in the appearance of fine lines. We then apply a super soothing and hydrating oatmeal mask where you can have a relaxing touch therapy of your choice (we recommend a relaxing scalp massage OR shoulder and neck massage), Eye Cream, Moisturise & SPF.
